- About the Authors
Angular has become the foundation of scalable web applications, and mastering its modern paradigms alongside design patterns is essential for frontend developers. Its standalone APIs and Signals have redefined how we structure application code. Knowing how to properly architect enterprise-grade Angular applications is a key differentiator for creating high-performance and maintainable software.
This book helps to bridge any gaps by mapping proven software design patterns to real Angular code. The book begins with fundamentals and TypeScript features, and it further explores component-driven development, reusable services, and standalone components with providers. You will also explore reactive programming with RxJS and Signals best practices, state management with NgRx, routing, lazy loading, and performance optimization. Finally, the book covers forms, data transformation with the Model-Adapter pattern, advanced behavioral patterns, micro-frontends with Angular Elements, and real-world enterprise case studies that bring all these concepts together.
By the end of this book, you will possess a deep, practical mastery of Angular architectural patterns and best practices, empowering you to confidently build, optimize, and scale production-ready applications in enterprise environments.
WHAT YOU WILL LEARN
● Apply classic and advanced design patterns in modern Angular applications.
● Build standalone components, directives, and provider-based architectures.
● Manage reactive state with RxJS, Signals, and NgRx.
● Optimize performance with lazy loading and route guards.
● Design reusable services using dependency injection effectively.
● Apply testing and error-handling best practices for robust apps.
● Transform API data using the Model-Adapter pattern.

Uladzislau Bayouski is currently working as a senior director, engineering at EPAM Systems, where he leads an engineering organization driving initiatives in AI adoption and agentic AI solutions, working with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and the Gemini Enterprise Agent Platform (formerly Vertex AI). He has extensive software engineering expertise in full-stack development across Dart, Python, SQL, Java, TypeScript, .NET, and JavaScript, including deep experience building enterprise web applications with the Angular framework, where he has explored different combinations of design patterns to deliver scalable and robust solutions. Over his career, he has led the design and architecture of large-scale, maintainable systems, turning ambitious concepts into production-ready software. He also has a particular focus on the Internet of Things (IoT), connected ecosystems, and the broader emerging-technology domain, work for which he was recognized in Fierce Sensors Rising Stars 2026 awards program. Uladzislau is the co-founder of the IoT Forge community and its growing YouTube channel (@IoTForge), a team passionate about making complex ideas in IoT, AI, and emerging technology accessible to anyone curious enough to build something. Through IoT Forge, the team has shared its work at workshops and tech talks, including a workshop hosted by ESTIA, an institute of technology in France, and the TERANOVA 2025 World Forum on Digital Agriculture. He wrote this book to close a gap he kept facing in practice: the distance between well-understood software design patterns and the day-to-day reality of building Angular applications that stay scalable and maintainable as they grow. It brings together the commonly leveraged and lesser-known patterns he has found most useful for doing exactly that.
