Kubernetes has become the leading platform for deploying and managing containerized applications in modern enterprise environments. As organizations continue adopting cloud-native architectures, securing Kubernetes infrastructure and workloads has become a critical requirement. The Certified Kubernetes Security Specialist (CKS) certification validates the practical skills required to secure Kubernetes environments and implement security best practices.

This book is a practical study guide designed to help readers prepare for the CKS exam through hands-on learning and real-world scenarios. It covers cluster hardening, RBAC, service accounts, pod security, supply chain security, runtime security, network policies, logging, monitoring, and policy enforcement. The book includes practical labs, troubleshooting exercises, sample questions, exam-focused scenarios, preparation strategies, and full-length practice papers designed to mirror real certification challenges.

By the end of this book, readers will gain the confidence to secure Kubernetes environments and handle real-world security challenges. DevOps engineers, platform engineers, cloud architects, and security engineers will develop practical skills needed to succeed in the CKS certification and beyond.

WHAT YOU WILL LEARN
● Harden Kubernetes clusters and secure critical control plane components.
● Configure RBAC, service accounts, and Kubernetes access controls.
● Apply Pod Security Standards and admission control policies effectively.
● Secure software supply chains and validate container images safely.
● Configure auditing, logging, and monitoring for threat detection.
● Solve real CKS exam scenarios through practical hands-on exercises.
