- About the Authors
Oracle GoldenGate Microservices 23ai is a next-generation data replication platform designed for modern enterprise environments that demand real-time data movement, high availability, and intelligent automation. As organizations increasingly rely on continuous data integration for migrations, upgrades, analytics, and cloud adoption, understanding the architectural and operational advancements of GoldenGate 23ai has become essential for today’s database and platform professionals.
This book will explore core architecture concepts, hub-based deployments, installation and upgrade strategies from 19c, and improved patching workflows. Readers will understand new 23ai features, including the enhanced web interface, expanded microservices architecture, AI integration, and auto conflict detection and resolution.
By the end of this book, readers will be fully equipped to design, deploy, monitor, and automate highly available Oracle GoldenGate Microservices 23ai environments. They will gain the skills needed to support mission-critical replication, perform zero downtime migrations, improve operational efficiency, and confidently manage GoldenGate 23ai in both on-premises and cloud-based enterprise landscapes.

● Lucia Hustatyova RNDr. Lucia Hustatyova, MBA is a enterprise and lead architect, Oracle Senior DBA, and published author specializing in IT architecture, database engineering, automation, and modern data platforms. She is a triple Oracle Certified Master (OCM 10g, 11g, 12c), an Oracle Exadata Certified Implementation Specialist, and holds multiple AI-related certifications across leading cloud providers. In Slovakia, she is the first and still the only woman to achieve the highest level of Oracle Certification, Oracle Certified Master.
Lucia holds a Doctor of Natural Sciences in Informatics (RNDr.), a master’s degree in mathematics and informatics (Mgr.), and an MBA in project management. As an author, architect, and technologist, she bridges deep Oracle expertise with cloud-native and AI- driven architectures, helping organizations modernize mission-critical data platforms.
With almost two decades of experience, she has worked across database administration, performance tuning, complex migrations and upgrades, patching strategies, Data Guard, backup and recovery, and data replication using Oracle GoldenGate in both classic and Microservices Architectures. She is deeply involved in consulting engagements focused on architecture design, onboarding new customers, solving complex production issues, and implementing highly available enterprise solutions across on-premises, cloud, and hybrid environments.
Automation is a core pillar of her work, where she designs and implements solutions using scripting and programming techniques to streamline operations and minimize human error in mission-critical environments. She is an active Oracle ACE and a participant in the Oracle Global Leaders program, contributing through international conference speaking, technical writing, and community leadership.
Beyond technology, Lucia proudly represents strong women in IT—balancing complex enterprise architectures, authorship, and community leadership with life as a mother of three. As a parent to twins Alexander and Viktoria, and Simona, she demonstrates that high availability is not only a system design principle, but also a way of life.
● Mariami Kupatadze is a senior solutions architect at FlashGrid Inc., where she has been helping enterprises design and operate highly available Oracle database infrastructures across multiple clouds since 2017. With over 16 years of experience in database engineering and administration, she has worked with mission-critical systems for several banks, ministries, and enterprises, building expertise in Oracle Exadata, Oracle Cloud, RAC, ASM, Data Guard, GoldenGate, and more. In 2016, Mariami became the first - and remains the only so far - Oracle Certified Master (OCM) in the country of Georgia, a credential that recognizes the highest level of proven expertise in Oracle Database technologies. She is also an Oracle ACE Alum.
She has authored and co-authored multiple books on Oracle, published technical articles in OraWorld magazine and Oracle Technology Network. Mari has maintained her technical blog dba010.com, since 2010, which has been ranked among the Top 60 Oracle blogs. Mari is a frequent speaker at international conferences, including APAC Oracle Users Groups Community (APACOUC) and Luxembourg Oracle Users Group (LUXOUG), and has lectured at leading universities in Georgia. She served as Director of FlashGrid Georgia LLC (2019 - 2022) and has also taught at Business and Technology University, GRENA Cisco Academy, and International Black Sea University.
Her achievements have been recognized beyond the technology community: in 2019, she was selected as a winner in the Forbes Georgia 30 Under 30 (technology category), with her story later featured multiple times in Forbes publications and journals. In 2024, she returned as a jury member for Forbes, serving in the technology category. Oracle itself has highlighted her journey by publishing her success story titled Spotlight on Success: I remember commands, gained a deeper knowledge, save a lot of time searching and add greater value to our business on its university and corporate blogs.
Above all, Mari is most proud of her role as mother to two daughters, Salome Beridze and Ana Beridze, who inspire her both professionally and personally.
