About the Authors
Rohit Agarwal is a PhD student in the Department of Computer Science at UiT, The Arctic University of Norway. He is also a teaching assistant on the cloud and big data technology course at UiT. Prior to the PhD, Rohit worked at Adobe Inc. from 2020 to 2021 as a cloud engineer. He received the gold medal in his Integrated Master’s degree in Mathematics and Computing from the Indian Institute of Technology (Indian School of Mines), Dhanbad, India, in the year 2020 for his excellent academic performance. His research fields include scalable artificial intelligence models, online learning, haphazard inputs, time series analysis and large language models.
Dilip K. Prasad is a Professor in the Department of Computer Science at UiT The Arctic University of Norway and a founding member of the Bio-AI Research Group. He holds a Ph.D. from Nanyang Technological University, Singapore, and a B.Tech. in Computer Science and Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology (ISM) Dhanbad, India. With five years of industry experience at IBM, Infosys, Mediatek, and Philips, he brings a unique blend of academic and practical expertise.
Dilip was awarded Distinguished Alumnus Award from IIT(ISM), Dhanbad in 2025, Femina Achiever’s Award in 2025, the Distinguished Researcher Award in AI & Robotics by the Asian African Economic Forum in 2024, and the Rolls-Royce Inventor Award in 2016. A Kauffman Global Scholarship Fellow (2011), he has secured multiple research grants from the European Union, the Research Council of Norway, and UiT. His research focuses on artificial intelligence, with a strong emphasis on fostering diversity, equity, and inclusion in AI systems. He is Microsoft Azure and CCSK certified. He is deeply passionate about leveraging cloud computing to create scalable, accessible, and efficient solutions, bridging the gap between technology and its users while addressing challenges of equity, inclusivity, and ethical practices in the digital age.
