About the Authors

Filipe Vilhena is a software developer with nearly 17 years of experience, having worked in different companies and projects, in the banking and insurance area, in Portugal, and delivering projects using different Microsoft Technologies, such as ASP.net, C#, VB.net, T-SQL, Integration Services, Reporting Services, javascript, JQuery and others.

At the moment, he is working as a DevOps Engineer in Axa Partners Portugal, developing several in-house application for insurance, assistance and internal management. He is also working with Agile methodologies and helping to spread them throughout the company.

He finished his degree of studies in Escola Superior de Tecnologia de Setúbal, in 2007, and has since taken a few courses in Microsoft.

In his spare time, he loves to travel and spend quality time with his family (and his kitten!), whenever possible. Also, he’s a fan of cinema, music, photography, and an eager reader, who loves a good thriller, being also a huge Nordic Noir fan!
