My name is Alex Bolenok.

I am a software developer. I have more than 20 years of experience in database systems.

During my career, I have been working as a private consultant with tiny, small, medium, large, and humongous database systems. Many of them I have designed and developed from the ground up. Some I still support.

In my spare time, I answer questions about SQL and databases at https://stackoverflow.com, the world's leading QA site for computer programmers. At the time of this writing, I am among the top 100 participants of the site.

I maintain a blog at https://explainextended.com. This blog is about SQL and its finer secrets.
